Caterham has launched a bike division and plans to sell motorbikes from next year.
The brand has revealed three motorbikes at the International Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan, the first of which is called the Caterham Brutus 750 and will go into production in spring 2014.
The Brutus 750 is described as a SUV of motorcycles, with Caterham saying the chunky two-wheeler can operate as a street bike, an off-road bike or even a snowmobile (after a conversion). Caterham also says the bike is the first motorcycle to have an automatic transmission.

The second is the retro-looking Classic E-Bike. It's an electric bike, with a range of 40-80km. The rider does not need to have a motorcycle licence to ride the E-Bike in the EU. Caterham says production of the E-Bike will begin later in 2014.
The third bike is also electric powered and is called the Carbon E-Bike. It is described as a premium bike with modern styling inspired by F1. Caterham says a limited edition, featuring F1 input and materials, is 'currently being explored'.
Prices have yet to be revealed, but Caterham says all three bikes will adhere to the company's philosophy of delivering 'accessible fun'. Tony Fernandes, Co-Chairman of Caterham Group, said: “Our vision for Caterham Group has taken another step forward with the launch of Caterham Bikes.
"Expanding our interests into the two-wheeled market is another natural progression for us and is a good opportunity to showcase the breadth of knowledge, experience and creativity we have at our disposal across the Group, now in the two-wheeled world in addition to all of our other automotive, technology and innovation interests.”
Last month Caterham launched its Caterham Moto Racing Team, which will compete in the 2014 Moto2 World Championship.
