The next Audi R8 is in the works, and now there's video of the latest from Ingolstadt testing on the Nürburgring. Perhaps the best feature? The clear sounds of the R8's mill -- we're just not sure if it's the V10 or V8.

Styling-wise, it looks a lot like the current R8 with three big intakes in front, though the front and rear clips look a little more squared-off to us. We can also see what looks to be a new diffuser in back.

Rumors have the car weighing in at about the same as it does now, at about 3,700 pounds. The 4.2-liter V8 may be swapped for the company's twin turbocharged 4.0-liter making somewhere in between 420 and 520 hp. We expect output on the V10 to grow as well. Audi's new seven-speed dual-clutch will see duty, and hopefully a six-speed manual.
